Scam Alert:

We here at Riviera Radio have been alerted to online scams posted on our classifieds.

Be wary of all overseas sales that would involve wiring money back to the buyer. THESE ARE SCAMS. Do not accept more than your asking price at any time.

As with any website or classified we l recommend you take certain simple precautions when entering into transactions with people you do not know.

For example:

  • It is always better to not give your home address for postage use that of your work or your local post office.

  • Do not give out your home phone number, instead use your portable number. Never send items before you have received payment and the payment has been cleared with your bank

  • In the event a buyer sends you a cheque for more than the amount you agreed on, simply tear up the cheque and ask them to send a new cheque for the correct amount.

  • Make sure you are happy with any deal you do, it is important to remember new scams are being developed all the time, so be cautious.

  • In any event, if you have reason to believe certain actions on line are not legal and correct then please do notify Riviera Radio immediately and contact Deborah Di Nauta, so we can take steps to alert all users on Riviera Radio Classifieds. You may also want to consider informing your local police of the activity you feel to be 'suspect'.
